Tip #2: Iron your clothes

Wrinkles can make you look unkempt and unprofessional.

The Importance of Proper Care for Your Clothes: Keep Them Looking Their Best!

Your clothes can be expertly tailored, the perfect color, and made of the finest materials, but if they are wrinkled and soiled, they won’t look their best. This is why proper care for your clothes is crucial, think ironing, dry cleaning AND altering as needed. With the right care, you can ensure that your clothes look great every time you wear them with just a little effort.

Find a dry cleaner that you can trust.

A good dry cleaner will be able to remove tough/stubborn stains and keep your clothes looking on point. If you’re lucky enough to find a dry cleaner that offers home pickup and delivery, that’s always an added bonus. This way, you won’t have to worry about taking the time to drive to and from the dry clean. And we know how much our clients love to save time.

Invest in a high-quality iron and/or appliances.

If you prefer to take care of your clothes at home, you can invest in a high-quality iron, washing machine, and/or dryer. A good iron can make all the difference when it comes to removing wrinkles, and a washing machine and dryer will make it easy to keep your clothes clean and looking their best. We always recommend testing a few delicate garments you don't care for with your washing machine. If they come out looking great, you can trust your washing machine. If they don't, you might want to invest in a higher-quality appliance or bring your clothes to a dry cleaner.

Pay attention to dry clean/care labels.

It’s also important to pay attention to the care instructions on your clothes. Different materials and fabrics require different care, so it’s important to read the care instructions carefully. If you’re not sure how to care for a particular item of clothing, take it to a dry cleaner or do some research online. Side note, only use dry cleaners who do the cleaning in house. If they outsource there will be a chance your garments get lost in transport. This unfortunately happens way too much.

Conclusion

Proper care for your clothes is crucial if you want them to look their best and for them to last a long time. Whether you choose to take your clothes to a dry cleaner or take care of them at home, having the right tools and following the care instructions carefully will protect your investment of properly fitted, high-quality clothing.
