How to Find YOUR Brand: Men’s Professional Style Tips

Tip #24: Find your favorite brands: Not every brand will fit you, but once you find one, marry it.

Building a proper wardrobe that you love, fits you and you are comfortable wearing is really challenging. But once you have a proper plan mapped out and have gone through the 4-steps of cleaning up your closet you can start actively looking for new garments. Here are a few things I have learned along my journey of building a wardrobe I love.

Quality over Quantity

It is always tempting to buy cheap, fast-fashion items because they are brands you hear about and know. Chances are they have a store close to you which makes it all the more easier. But investing in high-quality pieces is worth the time and money it in the long run. Not only will they last longer, but they will also fit better, drape to flatter your body, and hold up to wear and tear.

Find your Favorite Brands

Take the time to search for brands that you love and that fits your style. Don’t settle for pieces that you just “like” or the “that’ll do” mindset – wait until you find the ones that you truly love the feel, quality and fit. And once you find them, take the time to figure out your size in each brand. Once you have the brand and your size, marry that brand.

Wait for Deals

All brands have set margins, and there is always a lowest possible price on deals. By following your favorite brands, you will start to notice their pricing patterns and when items go on sale. The best deals are typically offered at the end of a season or before Christmas, so don’t be afraid to wait for a sale before making a purchase. I always recommend signing up for newsletters, that is where you get the best deals.

Conclusion

By following these tips, you can build a high-quality wardrobe that fits you, represents your style, and makes you feel confident. I have taken over 15 years to really discover what I love, what my style is and how I prefer the fit of clothes. That continues to change and evolve with my age and trends but now that I have done the hard work, I find shopping easy.
